Cosmetic Tattooing is a technique with the help of which one is able to employ the tattoo techniques to make designs that look like makeup. These can include eye lining techniques, or permanent color enhancing techniques of facial skin, lips and eyelids. Cosmetic tattoos can also be used to enhance the natural eye brow or to make an artificial eyebrow for people that have completely lost them to old age, or medical treatments like chemotherapy, alopecia, or any genetic disorders. This kind of surgery can also be used to enhance the areola of breast after breast surgery.
Cosmetic tattooing is also known by other names like permanent makeup, micro pigmentation, permanent cosmetic or cosmetic tattoo. Other terms like semi permanent makeup are used by the dermatologist to mislead people. But the fact is that this kind of terminology actually refers to the use of color pigments of the needles to the skin. Some people refute it by saying that indulging in all these procedures does not mean tattooing; however the fact is that if color pigments are applied on the skin with a needle then the result would be called tattooing, irrespective of the fact if it is done to highlight a particular area or to make the faulty features look good
